DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN DOING.
Before I begin I wanted to use basketball as my conduit to get my point across. In hindsight the basketball concept is paying homage to Mr. Obama because of his love for his game and how he made presidency memorable to watch.
- Attack the basket as efficient as you can / Educating yourself makes you more agile
The man that has blatantly let the world know he is incompetent to be president has become the leader of the free world and this is problematic. It has happened, I wouldn’t say get over it, but now is time to become a stronger individual. If you haven’t taken an oath to educate yourself daily, I hope the dynamic of this change in the white house has given you a new light on obtaining knowledge. Please don’t get me wrong, the government will not change your life and has no grasp on you becoming a millionaire, but the more knowledge you gain, the more agile you are attacking life. Understand your history and be diligent in pursuit of the truth.
2. Be calm with each move you make / “Never reduce your life to the event you are facing now ” – Eric Dyson
With basketball, there is always a circumstance in your way of scoring. In life, the same applies. If there is a circumstance blocking you from getting what you want, be it be bills, break ups, alternative facts, etc, you should never allow these issues to make you feel inferior as an individual. You are not what you face. Don’t allow the issues of the media cloud your judgement on how to approach your life. The United states has been through much worst scenarios before, we can do it again.
3. SHOOT YOUR SHOT
If there is one thing during this whole nightmare we call Donald Trump that has been a silver lining is the fact that you can apply for jobs you may not be qualified for and actually get it. If you feel like you are aiming for something and allow fear to stop you from going for that goal, always remember- Donald Trump is the President Of the United States of America. If that isn’t motivation enough, I honestly can’t help you.
4. ” I did it my way” – Frank Sinatra
Be unapoletically yourself. Don’t let outside sources, bigots or any naysayer tell you how you are living your life is wrong. Be open-mided, get educated, stay creative.
5. It’s your life, soar for the stars.
